Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban on Wednesday offered rare praise for a Trump administration program, calling the federal government’s TrumpRx drug platform a “win” for patients.
“Everyone wants me to rip on TrumpRx,” Cuban wrote on the social platform X. “Reality is, it’s saving patients money on IVF and a few other drugs. A lot of money. IMO, anything that saves patients money is a win.”

Cuban’s comments drew attention because of his past criticism of former President Donald Trump and his endorsement of former Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential race. Still, the Dallas Mavericks owner and founder of Cost Plus Drugs said his focus remains on affordability in health care.
Cuban co-founded Cost Plus Drugs in 2022 with the goal of bypassing pharmaceutical middlemen and offering medications at transparent, lower prices. His acknowledgment of TrumpRx’s savings suggests that, despite political divides, he sees value in any effort that lowers out-of-pocket costs for Americans struggling with the high price of prescription drugs.
It was not immediately clear whether Cuban’s endorsement signals broader support for the program, but his remarks highlight a rare moment of bipartisan agreement on the need for drug pricing reform.
